Echo Painting

Painted from scratch in Photoshop CS5, using a reference provided to me.
About 7 hours of work.

This was painted as a surprise for a friend, so I couldn't post it until I gave it to her! This is one of two paintings, meant to be displayed next to one another, of her two favourite animals

I am also really pleased with this painting! I haven't painted many dolphins, and I am not 100% good with IDing them... I actually learned a LOT about Echo's features while painting this. I LOVE the textures, and the shiny reflections. I can see myself doing more dolphin portraits in the future, I had such a great time with this one!
