Also sorry to say that if you but don't comment, I probably won't have the time to say thank you! So thanks in advance I guess!
Xena and her little baby girl at 34 days old. Loved this photo so much!!! I waited for quite some time in the underwater viewing hoping for a photo like this of mother and calf, and Xena did not disappoint! The original photo had this horrible line running from top to bottom (part of the glass of the window, perhaps a join or something... don't know, don't care, all I know is that it ruins picutres bigtime!!!) and several deep scratches in the glass. I edited all of these out as best as I could and am quite happy with the results. I love baby belugas!!!
Update: After some recent photo theft, I decided to add my new watermarks to this one, still one of my all time favourite shots. Also did some basic editing, like a slight colour modification, and some noise reduction.
This is a photographic submission, NOT to be confused with stock. I repeat, THIS IS NOT STOCK! Do not modify it in any way shape or form. You do NOT have my permission to use it as reference for a drawing or other work. Thank you for your understanding.
had permission to reference it for a drawing. Anyone else out there, don't even ask me. Thank you.
Very cute ^_^. I wish I could get decent pics at Shedd, but I can't . There's too much reflection from the kids play zone behind it, and not enough sun coming through the water . On the upside though I spend 7 hours each week doing calf observations on the calf ^_^.
Thank you! I've never been to Shedd, but I do hope to go there sometime soon. Too bad about the reflections though. It's so awesome that you get to spend so much time doing observation of the calf! Getting to see a beluga calf grow up is so rewarding Thanks for ing!
