Also sorry to say that if you don't comment, I probably won't have the time to say thank you! So thanks in advance I guess! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eve, baby beluga whale @ Marineland See my other shot here: [link] This little gal couldn't look more like her mother if she tried!!! See that line on her rostrum? It's identical to Xena's (her mother). Eve's face is the same shape as her mom, right down to the duck-like beak. Her face is as charming as her personality, very outgoing and too sweet. I'm really pleased with the composition of this shot... and with the angle of her face Comments
Great capture Aelia! I absolutely love it!
Have you heard of the "Snubfin Dolphin?" They look like a beluga dolphin, I am sooooo in love with them! [link] -- ...nothing so liberalizes a man and expands the kindly instincts that nature put in him as travel and contact with many kinds of people. ~Mark Twain so cute, how she smile
i love it, when animals lean the head on one side. it looks allways so sweet -- Splashlover90 - Noraorca - Nacho1210 - Gijn-564 my real friends !!!Human, think always about, what you do, with animals!!! |

I really like the detail you achieved in the water underneath her head and around her mouth. The overcast sky creates such wonderful blues in the water. It also helps in keeping their grey colouration. The exposure is spot on, the highlights on the skin are not blown-out at all! The composition is really nice, I like how you've included the pectoral flipper in the photo.
One thing to work on would be your focusing, as with your other photo of Eve. The focus isn't quite spot on here and her beak is a little out of focus. The focus is on the eye which is the one thing you most definitely want in focus, but I suggest maybe a higher aperture so you could get the entire head in focus.
You are truly improving with every photo, and it is a pleasure to watch!
